What it is

Sofmap AKIBA Amusement-kan is one of the five buildings that make up the Sofmap AKIBA complex, an eight-floor game- and hobby-focused specialty store a few minutes from Akihabara Station's Electric Town Exit. It carries new and used TV game consoles and software, PC games, anime merchandise and comics, anime/voice-actor CDs, plastic models, and hobby figures, including a dedicated Tamashii Nations (Bandai) corner on the ground floor.

Floor guide & events

Floors run roughly: 1F hobby goods, figures and the Tamashii Nations corner; 2F plastic models, shokugan (candy toys) and add-ons; 3F new and used TV game hardware and software (with a software buyback counter); 4F–5F PC games and anime video/music software; 6F Animega x Sofmap anime goods and comics; 7F the STELLAMAP Cafe; and 8F the STELLAMAP STAGE event floor, known for idol and gravure photo/handshake events. The store is open every day of the year.
