Jump Festa 2027: Dates Confirmed — 19–20 December 2026, Makuhari Messe

The dates are set: 19–20 December 2026

Jump Festa 2027 runs over two days, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December 2026, at Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall, halls 1–9 and 11, from 9:00 to 17:00 (last entry 16:30).

The "2027" in the name is the following year's label — by convention the event itself takes place in December 2026. Don't book flights for December 2027; it's the single most common mistake overseas fans make with this event.

The official Jump Festa 2027 site was not yet live as of 27 August 2026 — jumpfesta.com still shows the Jump Festa 2026 edition. The ticket application schedule, exhibitor list and stage line-up are still to be announced; we'll update this page when they are.

Entry is free — but you can't just turn up

This is the trap. Admission costs nothing, but at the last edition (Jump Festa 2026) every visitor of elementary school age and above needed an electronic entry ticket issued through the "Jump NAVI" app, and tickets were allocated by lottery. How it ran last time:

• Jump NAVI Club priority ballot → results announced 31 October
• General ballot → results announced 14 November
• Preschool children enter without a ticket, one per accompanying adult (18+)
• Junior-high-age and younger without a smartphone can enter as a companion of a registered member

In other words, miss the autumn application window and you will not get in on the day. Check the official site and the official X account from early October. The application method and dates for the 2027 edition had not been announced as of August 2026.

What you actually see

Jump Festa is Shueisha's once-a-year showcase for the Weekly Shonen Jump universe: booths for ONE PIECE, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball and the rest of the current line-up under one roof. The centrepiece is the Jump Super Stage, where voice actors appear and new anime adaptations and films are frequently announced. Limited-edition merchandise queues form before opening, and the popular stages usually run their own separate ballot or numbered-ticket system.

Planning it from overseas

• Book flights around 19–20 December 2026. Ignore the "2027" in the name.
• The venue is 30–40 minutes from central Tokyo. Kaihin-Makuhari Station on the JR Keiyo Line, about a 5-minute walk, direct from Tokyo Station — times and fares in our guide to reaching Makuhari Messe.
• Entry tickets are likely to run through a Japanese app again. Last time that meant a free Jump NAVI account. Whether overseas residents can apply, and what it requires, will be in the official announcement — check it before you commit.
• It's a Saturday–Sunday event, so one day works. Day 1 concentrates the announcements; day 2 is usually the calmer visit.
