What it is

AnimeJapan is Japan's largest anime industry exhibition, gathering studios, publishers, streaming services and merchandise makers under one roof with stage programs, voice-actor appearances, trailer premieres and exclusive goods. After thirteen editions at Tokyo Big Sight, AnimeJapan 2027 (its 14th) relocates to INTEX Osaka. Public Days are March 27–28, 2027; Business Days are March 29–30, 2027.

For a foreign visitor, AnimeJapan is the single best place to see the coming year's anime lineup and meet the industry, in a well-organized, ticketed format. The 2027 move to Osaka is significant — if you previously planned around Tokyo, note the venue is now in western Japan (Kansai), in Osaka's bay area.

Ticketing

The dates and Osaka venue are officially announced, but detailed ticket pricing and sales channels for 2027 were not yet published at research time. In recent Tokyo years, public-day tickets (around ¥2,200–2,400) were sold in advance online; expect a similar system. Stage events for hit titles often require separate advance applications.

자주 묻는 질문

When and where is AnimeJapan 2027?
AnimeJapan 2027 runs March 27-28, 2027 at INTEX Osaka - the show's first time ever outside Tokyo. Those two public days fall on the weekend, with business-only days on March 29-30; AnimeJapan leaves its longtime home of Tokyo Big Sight for Osaka in both 2027 and 2028.
Do I need a ticket, and how does an overseas visitor actually buy one?
Yes - AnimeJapan is a paid, advance-ticket event with no free public days. Tickets are historically sold online before the show via the official site and Japanese ticketing partners (e.g. Lawson Ticket); as of July 2026 the 2027 on-sale date and price are not yet announced, so watch anime-japan.jp/en for the overseas purchase link.
How do I get to INTEX Osaka and what is the nearest station?
The nearest station is Nakafuto on the Osaka Metro New Tram (Nanko Port Town Line). From central Osaka, take the Osaka Metro Chuo Line to Cosmosquare, then transfer to the New Tram toward Nakafuto - roughly 20-30 minutes from the Namba or Umeda area.
Is there English support, and what should I know as a first-time overseas visitor?
Yes - there is an official English site and some English signage, but the event runs mainly in Japanese. Stage shows and most staff operate in Japanese, so download the English site and floor map in advance; note that 2027 guests, pricing, and layout are still being announced as of July 2026.
