What's confirmed so far

Wonder Festival ("WonFes") is the world's largest event for garage kits and original sculpted figures, normally held twice a year at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The organizers (Kaiyodo and the Wonder Festival Project Office) have officially confirmed that Wonder Festival 2027 [Winter] will run across two days — Saturday, February 13 and Sunday, February 14, 2027 — in Halls 1–8 of Makuhari Messe's International Exhibition Center. This is the first two-day WonFes in 36 years, a trial format the organizers say is meant to ease crowding for visitors and give dealers more time to enjoy the venue and network with other creators.

A teaser page for exhibiting dealers is already live on the official site. Dealer booths for this two-day trial cost ¥30,000 per table whether a dealer exhibits one day or both — though single-day exhibitors are restricted to Sunday, February 14 only during this trial run — with the same booth location held across both days and "day-of copyright" licensing available on up to six items combined across the two days.

Not yet announced: opening hours, general-admission tickets and pricing. The organizers have said this visitor information will be published on a dedicated event site only after Wonder Festival 2026 [Summer] (July 26, 2026) wraps up. As of this writing, do not assume specific hours or a ticket price for the Winter 2027 edition — none has been officially released.

Special project: Ultra Kaiju Wonder Fes returns

The organizers have also confirmed a special collaboration zone with Tsuburaya Productions, "Kaettekita Ultra Kaiju Wonder Fes" (帰ってきたウルトラ怪獣ワンフェス — "Ultra Kaiju Wonder Fes, Returned"). The original "Ultra Kaiju Wonder Fes" ran at Wonder Festival 2026 [Winter] (February 8, 2026) to mark the Ultraman TV series' 60th broadcast anniversary — a milestone that falls in 2026, not 2027. Organizers say this 2027 encore responds to strong demand from fans and dealers who couldn't fully enjoy the 2026 edition (citing bad weather and limited time on-site), giving them another chance rather than marking a second anniversary. Detailed participation conditions and rules for this sub-event were not yet published at the time the two-day announcement went out.

What to expect, based on past WonFes editions

Past Wonder Festival events have sold advance tickets through Lawson Ticket (L-Tike), with a dedicated "For overseas customer" page for inbound visitors, and typically ran from around 10:00 to 17:00 with cash-heavy dealer tables and a lively cosplay/figure-photography scene. Whether Winter 2027 follows the same ticketing and hours has not been confirmed yet — check the official site before booking travel around specific times.
