EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01 (Ikebukuro PARCO 6F)

EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01 is the official Evangelion flagship store on 6F of the Ikebukuro PARCO main building, a 1-minute walk from the East Exit of Ikebukuro Station, open 11:00–21:00 and tax-free. It moved there from P'PARCO 2F on 4 March 2023, so any guide that sends you to P'PARCO, or to the original shop in Harajuku, is out of date. Every fact on this page was checked against the store's official website, Ikebukuro PARCO and the Japan Tourism Agency on 24 September 2026 (sources at the end).

The store's own news archive gives the history:

Ikebukuro PARCO lists the main building and P'PARCO separately, each with its own hours and floors. If an old blog post, map pin or guidebook says "P'PARCO 2F", go to the main building, 6F instead. The store's official page says it reached its 14th anniversary in November 2025, counting from the 2011 Harajuku opening.

Getting there

The store's official page puts it a 1-minute walk from the East Exit of Ikebukuro Station, and the EVANGELION STORE online shop's store list describes it as directly connected to the station. Enter the Ikebukuro PARCO main building and go up to 6F. PARCO's English shop page lists the store under "Main Building 6F".

Ikebukuro PARCO asks visitors to come by public transport because parking spaces are limited. If you do drive, PARCO gives free parking based on what you spend at one shop: 1 hour for ¥2,000–¥9,999 and 2 hours for ¥10,000 or more (tax-inclusive).

What to buy

The store's official page describes TOKYO-01 as the flagship of EVANGELION STORE, carrying Evangelion apparel, figures and other goods, with monthly fairs and collaborations with other brands. Ikebukuro PARCO's shop page adds that it stocks plenty of limited items and holds events from time to time. Two TOKYO-01 items the store announced in 2026:

• TOKYO-01-only T-shirt (Unit-01): announced as sold only at the TOKYO-01 store, a purple T-shirt printed with the same Unit-01 artwork that is painted on the store's wall. ¥3,850 including tax, 100% cotton, sizes M, L and XL (announced 1 June 2026).
• TOKYO-01 senbei rice crackers: rice crackers named after the store, suggested by the store as a souvenir of your visit. Three designs at ¥275 each including tax: Unit-01 (soy sauce), Rei & Pen Pen (shrimp) and Yurushito (zarame sugar) (announced 22 August 2026). The announcement does not say whether they are sold only here.

The store says stock is limited and items can sell out, so check its news page, or ask the store, before travelling for one specific item.

AUTUMN FAIR 2026 (from 12 September 2026, while supplies last): TOKYO-01 and Hakone-Yumoto Eva-ya give one random bookmark (two designs, 32.5 × 100 mm) for every ¥3,000 (tax-inclusive) you spend, up to six per purchase, until the bookmarks run out.

EVA STORE POINT: TOKYO-01 is one of the places where you can earn and use the brand's points. The base rate is 1% of the tax-inclusive amount paid. You need an account on the EVANGELION STORE online shop, and at the register you show the member barcode on your logged-in My Page (screenshots are not accepted). Points can be exchanged for rewards such as a bromide (100 pt), a sticker (400 pt), an acrylic panel (1,000 pt) or a made-to-order life-size standee (10,000 pt). They expire if you make no purchase for two years.

Tax-free shopping

The store's official page shows "TAX FREE", and Ikebukuro PARCO's tax-free shop list includes EVANGELION STORE TOKYO-01. PARCO says there is no central duty-free counter and that the procedure differs from store to store, so ask at the store's register and bring your passport.

According to the Japan Tourism Agency, general goods currently qualify when one visitor's purchases at the same store on the same day total ¥5,000 or more. For purchases made from 1 November 2026, Japan switches to a refund system: you pay the tax-inclusive price in the shop, then within 90 days of purchase you show your passport at a tax-free kiosk when you leave Japan, and the tax is refunded after customs confirms you are taking the goods out. Under the new system the threshold is ¥5,000 (before tax) per store per day. You must still have every item on that receipt with you, and you cannot do the procedure after checking your bags. Hot releases: advance lotteries with ID checks

Very popular collaborations can be sold through an advance lottery rather than first come, first served. In August 2026, for example, the BEYBLADE X × EVANGELION "CX-00 Evangelion Deck Set" (¥7,500 including tax, one per person) was sold at TOKYO-01 only to holders of purchase tickets won in a lottery on the LivePocket ticket service. Entries ran from 14 to 16 August and the sets were sold from 29 to 31 August. Winners had to bring an original photo ID showing their name and date of birth; the notice gives a driver's licence, a My Number card or a residence card as examples, and the name and date of birth had to match the LivePocket registration. Passports are not named in that notice, so if you are visiting from abroad, ask the store before you enter a lottery.

Can't make it? The online store and overseas orders

The EVANGELION STORE online shop (evastore.jp) does not ship overseas itself. Its FAQ points overseas buyers to Buyee Connect, a proxy-buying service with a dedicated cart for overseas visitors, and warns that campaign bonuses and novelties may not apply to Buyee orders. Buyee requires its own membership. Shipping within Japan is a flat ¥880 including tax for most items.

The brand also runs short "EVA STORE LIMITED" pop-ups in department stores around Japan. The next one announced is at Entetsu Department Store in Hamamatsu (main building 5F), from 1 to 20 October 2026.
