Numazu & Uchiura — the Love Live! Sunshine!! Hometown (Shizuoka)
The seaside city and Uchiura fishing village that are home to Aqours in Love Live! Sunshine!! Many real spots, plus an ongoing fan-friendly stamp rally.
The scene
Love Live! Sunshine!! is set in Numazu, at the top of the Izu Peninsula, with the school idol group Aqours based in the quiet former village of Uchiura. Real locations include Mito Beach seen from episode 1, the Yasudaya Ryokan modelled as Chika's house, the Awashima Hotel as Mari's house, the harbour's View-O floodgate arch, Numazu Station, and Izu-Mito Sea Paradise. The city has fully embraced the series with themed buses, shop tie-ins, and a long-running stamp rally.
The gateway is Numazu Station, reachable from Tokyo in roughly 1.5–2 hours (Tokaido Shinkansen to Mishima then a local train, or the Tokaido Line). The Uchiura locations are several kilometres from the station and reached by bus toward Uchiura/Awashima, or by rental cycle, which many pilgrims use.
Please be respectful
Uchiura is a small, working fishing community and several 'character houses' are real, operating businesses (a ryokan, a hotel). Only photograph from public areas, don't enter or loiter at private homes or businesses uninvited, and keep quiet in residential streets. More spots: the anime pilgrimage guide.
