What it is
Jump Festa is Shueisha's huge annual celebration of Weekly Shonen Jump and related magazines, traditionally held over one weekend in mid-to-late December at Makuhari Messe. It features publisher and game/toy-company booths, stage events with voice actors, exclusive merchandise, and 'Jump Super Stage' announcements for major series. Admission has historically been free.
For a foreign visitor it's a major draw because it's free, packed with current Jump franchises (One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, etc.), and centrally held near Tokyo. Stage tickets for the most popular programs are usually allocated by advance lottery.
Status: not yet announced
As of mid-2026, the 2027 edition had not been officially announced — only Jump Festa 2026 (held December 20–21, 2025) details were public. Based on the annual pattern it is expected around mid-December 2026 at Makuhari Messe, but no official date or details exist yet. Do not book travel around an assumed date — check the official site for the announcement.
