Known for
Short answer: yes, you can still eat at Kirby Café Tokyo in 2026 — but plan it like a concert ticket. The café (Tokyo Solamachi East Yard 4F, at Tokyo Skytree Town) is open 10:00–22:00 (last order 21:00). Reservations are made only on the official site, and since the August 2026 bookings you need a phone-verified account first. Walk-ins are possible only if seats happen to be free. Everything below was checked on the official site (kirbycafe.jp) on 2026-09-25.

How booking works (the 2026 system)
The rules changed with the August 2026 bookings. According to the official notice and FAQ:
- Create an account on the official reservation site (the "RESERVATION" button on kirbycafe.jp). Enter your name, phone number and email.
- Verify your phone by calling. You receive an email guiding you to a dedicated verification line; you must call it from the phone number you registered, with caller ID turned on (not withheld). If you do not finish within 1 hour of signing up, you have to register again.
- Log in with the temporary password you are emailed, set your own password, and your account is live.
- Book from My Page when the month's slots are released.
Kindness tips for overseas visitors:
- Phone number: the official FAQ does not say whether non-Japanese phone numbers are accepted. A Japanese number (for example a SIM with voice calls) is the safer choice. If booking does not work out, the no-booking options below — walk-in, take-out and The Store — still get you Kirby Café food and goods.
- Do the account step days before release. Registration involves a phone call within a one-hour window, which is easy to miss on release day.
- Use a normal webmail address. The FAQ warns that Japanese mobile-carrier addresses may not receive mail, and asks you to allow mail from @beneliccafe.com.
- Release timing: the official notice shows August 2026 bookings opened on 10 July 2026 (official FAQ and notice). Check the official site and @KirbyCafeJP for each month.
- Limits: one account can make up to 3 bookings per month per café.
- Only use the official site. Kirby Café says bookings resold or transferred through third-party or "reservation agent" sites are void. Staff check the reservation and the booker's ID at the door (bring your passport), and refuse entry if the person does not match.
Walk-ins, take-out and the shop — what works without a booking
- Walk-in: the official FAQ says booked guests are seated first, but if seats are free you can be seated without a reservation — with no guarantee. Treat it as a bonus, not a plan.
- Take-out: ordering take-out needs no reservation — go in and ask a staff member. The official take-out menu includes Tokyo/Hakata-only stone-oven pizzas (Margherita ¥1,760) and a take-out-only Kirby Burger & fries with a souvenir lunch box (¥2,246).
- The in-café goods corner is only for guests using the café, and some items are sold only there.
- Kirby Café The Store TOKYO is also in Solamachi East Yard 4F (No. 11), open 10:00–21:00, and anyone can walk in without a reservation (official page). It sells Kirby Café original goods and Kirby goods, plus character drinks to take away (Tokyo/Hakata-only drinks ¥691, or ¥994 with a mascot). The Tokyo store offers a silver key-ring engraving service (¥1,595).
- Kirby Café PETIT at Tokyo Station is a take-out sweets shop inside Tokyo Character Street, open 10:00–20:30 — handy if you could not get a table. See our Tokyo Character Street guide.

Birthday service
Order a dessert and staff will add a chocolate birthday message; you choose at booking whether you want the special birthday music or a quiet delivery. Guests in their birth month who show proof of birthday get one birthday coaster (official FAQ).
Getting there
Tokyo Solamachi sits directly at Tokyo Skytree Station (Tobu Skytree Line, East and West gates) and Oshiage Station (Hanzomon, Toei Asakusa and Keisei lines; exits B3 and A2), according to the Solamachi access page. Take the lifts to East Yard 4F. Arrive 10 minutes before your slot; if you are more than 10 minutes late, the booking is cancelled. Cancel online up to the day before; for same-day cancellations, call the café.
Plan the rest of your day
Kirby Café pairs well with other Nintendo stops: Nintendo TOKYO in Shibuya and, for another booking-only character café, the Pokémon Café in Nihonbashi. For what else is on this month, see Tokyo collab cafés and pop-ups.
FAQ
- How do I book Kirby Café Tokyo?

If you cannot book, try a walk-in, take-out, or Kirby Café The Store TOKYO, which needs no reservation.
- Can I walk in to Kirby Café Tokyo without a reservation?

- The official notice shows August 2026 bookings opened on 10 July 2026. Check kirbycafe.jp and @KirbyCafeJP on X for each month's release, and register your account days before.

- 85 minutes from your reservation time, including seating and paying. Arrive 10 minutes early; if you are more than 10 minutes late the booking is cancelled.
