Pokémon Cafe TOKYO

Tokyo's official, reservation-only Pokémon-themed café, one floor above Pokémon Center Tokyo DX in Nihombashi. Since its June 2026 reopening after renovation, seats are released in bulk waves at 18:00 JST for blocks of future dates rather than a simple daily window, so foreign visitors need to time their booking to the current wave.

A reservation-only, 90-minute Pokémon-themed café on the 5th floor of Nihombashi Takashimaya S.C. East Building, open 10:30–21:00 daily (last order 20:30).

Reservations: how the 2026 system works

Pokémon Cafe TOKYO was closed for renovation from March 23 to June 16, 2026, then reopened on June 17, 2026. It is running reservation-only "for a while" post-reopening — there is no guaranteed walk-in queue, only same-day cancellation seats offered at the door if one opens up. Bookings go live solely through the official site, reserve.pokemon-cafe.jp (online reservations only — phone and email bookings are not accepted), and — critically for planning a trip — are not released on a simple rolling daily window right now. Since the relaunch, the café has opened reservations in bulk waves for a block of upcoming dates at a time: for example, the August 1–31, 2026 block opened at 18:00 JST on July 1, 2026, with the next wave's opening date announced only afterward. Always check the official news page (pokemon-cafe.jp/en/cafe/news) for the current wave's exact opening date and time shortly before you plan to book, since the schedule changes with each announcement. Each stay is 90 minutes, with last orders 30 minutes before the end; groups of 7 or more need separate reservations under different email addresses. For every other official Pokémon Center and café in the city, see our Pokémon in Tokyo guide.

What to expect

The café sits on the 5th floor of Nihombashi Takashimaya S.C.'s East Building, directly above Pokémon Center Tokyo DX, with direct access from Nihombashi Station's B2 exit (Tokyo Metro Ginza/Tozai lines). It serves Pikachu- and Pokémon-shaped plates, drinks and desserts — food mains run about ¥1,540–¥2,530, desserts about ¥2,090, and drinks from about ¥715 up to ¥3,465 for specialty lattes with take-home glassware or mugs (all tax included) — plus a roughly 10-minute in-seat show. Everyone aged 6 and up must order at least one item. Menus are offered in English, simplified Chinese and Korean, and the Tokyo location accepts VISA, Mastercard, JCB, Amex, Diners Club, Discover and UnionPay — the reservation itself is free, and you only pay in person for what you order.
