Sanrio Puroland Tickets: Prices, Hours & How to Get There
Sanrio Puroland needs both a date-priced passport (gate Day Passport ¥3,900–¥6,900 for adults, as of 2026-09-25) and a visit reservation. The official e-Passport covers both for ¥100 less, and the park is about 30 minutes from Shinjuku by Keio Line.

The short answer
Sanrio Puroland is an all-indoor Sanrio theme park in Tama, about 30 minutes from Shinjuku on the Keio Line, and every visit needs two things: a passport (ticket) and a visit reservation. The price changes by date. On the official price calendar we read on 2026-09-25, a Day Passport bought at the gate costs adults (18–64) ¥3,900–¥6,900 and children (3–17) and seniors (65+) ¥2,800–¥5,800; children aged 2 and under are free. The Sep–Nov 2026 calendar had weekday adult prices from ¥4,300 and weekend/holiday prices of ¥5,300–¥6,600. The park is closed on some mid-week days each month, so check the official schedule before you book a hotel in Tama.
Ticket types and prices
Puroland uses dynamic pricing: each day has its own price, shown on the official passport calendar (the same numbers are in the park's own price file for October 2026).
| Ticket | Adult (18–64) | Child (3–17 or high-school student) / Senior (65+) |
|---|---|---|
| Day Passport (opening to closing) | ¥3,900–¥6,900 | ¥2,800–¥5,800 |
| Afternoon Passport (entry from 14:00) | ¥2,800–¥4,600 | ¥2,500–¥4,300 |
These are gate prices. The child band covers ages 3–17 and high-school students, so an 18-year-old still in high school pays the child price. The official e-Passport is ¥100 cheaper than the gate price for the same day (official e-Passport page). The official list says not every price level is used in every season (passport list). Annual passes and PUROPASS (a paid ticket that cuts waiting times for entry and rides) are also sold.
How a foreign visitor actually buys a ticket
You have four realistic routes. All are listed on the park's English overseas page or its Japanese ticket list.
- Official e-Passport (best if it works for you). It includes the visit reservation, you enter straight from your phone without queuing at the counter, and you can cancel from My Page until 23:59 the day before (if you paid at a convenience store, you cannot cancel once paid). The catch: you need a Sanrio+ membership account to buy it.
- Overseas sales partners. The English page links to outside ticket sites (including Klook, Trip.com and Rakuten Travel Experiences). Puroland says questions about those tickets go to the site you bought from, not to the park, so read the voucher's instructions on how to enter.
- The ticket counter on the day. The counter opens 30 minutes before the park opens and stops selling 90 minutes before closing. If you buy at the gate you still need a separate visit reservation. You can get one on the day if slots remain, and extra same-day slots are added around opening time. The park says it will turn people away without a reservation.
- The official ¥200-off coupon. The English page has a discount coupon you show at the counter: ¥200 off the day's Day Passport (a separate coupon does the same for the Afternoon Passport). One coupon covers up to 5 people and is valid until 31 March 2027. It cannot be combined with other coupons.
In Japan, convenience stores also sell date-specified paper tickets (Lawson Ticket, FamilyMart). These cannot be cancelled.
Opening hours and closed days
Hours change by day. In the official calendar for September–November 2026, weekends and holidays mostly ran 8:30–18:00, and weekdays mostly ran 9:00–18:00 or 9:30–17:00 (a few weekdays opened at 8:30). Several mid-week days each month are closed (for example 21–22 October and 24–26 November 2026). You can enter any time the park is open. The outdoor queue area opens at 5:40, and the park asks people not to wait overnight (Q&A, park rules).
Getting there from Shinjuku
- Keio Line: take a Limited Express bound for Hashimoto from Shinjuku to Keio-Tama-Center (about 30 minutes). Leave through the central ticket gate and turn left.

- Tama Monorail: from Tachikawa to Tama-Center, about 23 minutes.
- From the stations it is about a 5-minute walk. Go straight up the pedestrian street and turn left at the crossing past "Oka-no-ue Plaza". The park entrance is on 3F. There is a step-free walkway for strollers and wheelchairs.
- From Haneda Airport, an airport limousine bus takes about 90–140 minutes.

What is inside
Puroland is fully indoors, so rain does not matter once you are in (the entry queue is outside). The park lists 10 attractions included with the passport and one paid add-on (CHALLENGE PURO, ages 3–15). Other highlights are the parades and stage shows, character greetings and themed restaurants. The Discovery Theater has a height rule, and the Fuwafuwa Kids Land hall is for children up to elementary-school age.
Photos, bags and the practical rules
- Photos are allowed, with rules. Hold your camera (and any camera accessory) yourself, in front of your body. Don't raise it above your head or hold it out to the side, don't use step stools or thick mats, and don't live-stream inside the park. Filming for commercial use is refused. Whether a particular show may be filmed is listed on each attraction's page (rules).
- Re-entry: allowed on all days. Get a hand stamp at the exit, and expect a bag check when you come back in.
- Bags: cashless lockers on 3F cost ¥300–¥1,000. Bags too big for a locker can be left at the 3F information counter for ¥1,000 per item. Everyone goes through a security bag check before entering.
- Food: do not bring packed lunches, fast food or alcohol, and no alcohol is sold inside. Baby food, allergy-friendly meals and drinks are allowed.
- Costumes: full-face masks, full-face paint, long or pointed props and bare feet can be refused.
Paying and tax-free
In-park registers take cash, Visa, Mastercard, JCB, AMEX, Diners Club and UnionPay (one-time payment only), plus transit IC cards, PayPay, WeChat Pay, d-barai, Rakuten Pay and other e-money. A few events and games do not accept cards (Q&A). The 3F entrance shop takes delivery orders for goods bought in the park, but some items are excluded. We could not confirm on the official site whether the shops offer tax-free sales, so bring your passport and ask at the register. Our Japan tax-free shopping guide explains how the system works.
When to go
Weekdays are cheaper: from ¥4,300 for an adult in the Sep–Nov 2026 calendar, against ¥5,300–¥6,600 on weekends and holidays. The price calendar also shows which days are special-event days. The Afternoon Passport (from 14:00) is a cheaper way in if you only want the parade and a few rides.
Make it a Sanrio day in central Tokyo
Back in the city, keep the character trail going at Kiddy Land Harajuku or the character shops of Tokyo Character Street at Tokyo Station.
